Job description

Overview

The primary purpose of this position is to utilize diverse types of equipment and tooling to manufacture products for the Professional Cleaning markets.

Responsibilities
    • Reading of production Shop Orders; knowledge product specifications for proper processing of product.
    • Understanding and following proper safety procedures when using the equipment and/or tooling, and handling of products.
    • Following Control Plans within the IFS system.
    • Reading, understanding, and demonstrating proficiency to Work Instructions, Operating Procedures, and Work Guidelines.
    • Perform quality inspection/measurements and recording for each Shop Order as required.
    • Gathering and loading of the necessary raw materials needed to complete the Shop Order.
    • Packaging of product to IFS specifications.
    • Completing Shop Orders and placing product in the correct area.
    • Participating and working within ISO 9001-2015 quality standards guidelines in accordance with Contec's quality goals.
    • Others may be assigned.

Requirements

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals to the tenth.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw simple geometric figures. (Example: 12.7 x 21 rectangle).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the cutting machine as well as remain stationary for short periods of time. The employee must regularly transport and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally transport and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision
