The incumbent processes orders, stocks and re-stocks inventory, and performs other essential functions in one or more of the following sub-departments of Distribution & Logistics: Shipping, Repack, Order Pullers, Receiving, Returns, Fulfillment or Inventory Control.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Maintain control of all inventory items purchased and produced
  • Perform daily inventory management procedures and duties
  • Procedures and adjust system as necessary
  • Follow procedures to accurately adjust inventory for over/short, defective and damaged product
  • Perform routine clerical assignments including filling invoices and maintaining records
  • Ensure care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing maintaining, and shipping
  • Compiles inventory information such as consumption rate, characteristics, value, and stock on hand to determine stock supply and need for replenishment
  • Resolve differences in inventory by locating product or isolating errors in records
  • Take precautions to secure warehouse contents against loss
  • Processes paperwork and forms relevant to the operations of the Distribution and Logistics Department

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to work well with minimal supervision and in a team showing sensitivity, tact, and professionalism
  • Finds, gathers and collects information or data, evaluate information against a set of standards
  • Uses logic to analyze or identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts associate with information or data to draw conclusions.
  • Knowledge of principles, theories, and practices of distribution and logistics
  • Ability to communicate and understand information and ideas clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs. in a recurring manner, and for long periods of time
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
  • Ability to work at heights up to 40 ft., and to work for long periods of time standing on concrete

Requirements:
  • Generally 0-2 years of experience
  • Preference may be given to individuals with experience in a warehouse/distribution or manufacturing environment
  • Preference may be given to individuals with forklift experience

Physical and Safety Requirements:
  • Strenuous: The work requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion such as frequent climbing, lifting heavy objects over 50 pounds, crouching or crawling in restricted areas
  • Special Risks: Risks which require the use of special safety precautions and/or equipment, e.g., working around operating machines, working with contagious diseases or hazardous chemicals, etc.
