Function

The Systems Design & Sales position is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Clearwing clients. Systems Design & Sales team members will be highly involved in assessing the needs of our clients, assisting with the design and sale of audio, video, lighting, or stage drapery systems to address those needs, and, finally, participating in the project hand offs to other departments to ensure a project is set up for efficient and detailed execution. Primary responsibility will be the sales and oversight of entertainment technology systems and installations including audio, lighting, stage drapery, rigging and video. This position reports to VP Systems Integration.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Primary team members responsible for representing Clearwing throughout the sales and design process.
  • Communicate with new clients to thoroughly understand their needs.
  • Design, or assist in designing AV, Lighting, Rigging, or Stage Drapery solutions that satisfy client needs.
  • Update HubSpot with all new client information including key contact information, type of client, etc.
  • Work with other departments pre-contract to ensure that necessary resources are available and scheduled.
  • Work with Corporate Compliance Admin and Accounting to verify licensing, tax, and other legal requirements are identified prior to bids or contracts.
  • Attend any pre-contract client meetings necessary; communicate with any additional team members needed for meetings.
  • When necessary, inspect client venue in order to provide site photos, measurements, additional notes, etc. For use in quoting and by other departments later in the project.
  • Responsible for generating and sending comprehensive scope of work and estimates for clients.
  • Work with Engineering and Operations departments during bids to determine capacity, timelines, labor expense, equipment cost, etc.
  • Work with Systems Design Engineer/s to finalize designs and send to drafting.
  • Lead kick-off meetings on new projects. Scheduled by Operations
  • Alongside PM, maintain positive client experience throughout project lifecycle.
  • Meet with client at conclusion of project and do a final walk through and project debrief meeting.
  • Assist Project Coordinator and marketing with Project Profile information and photos.
  • Follow up with client 30 and 90 days after project completion for updates and maintain good rapport
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of current and new technologies with manufacturers and reps.
  • Attend and contribute to bi-weekly Sales Meetings.
  • Assist with training internal technical or sales staff on new products.
  • Participate in trade shows, meetings, and other marketing events.

Skill/Experience Requirements

  • Entertainment installation and construction experience.
  • In depth knowledge of large-scale Audio-Visual, Lighting, or Rigging systems.
  • Ability to read and understand construction style documentation.
  • Experience with reviewing bid documents.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adjust to shifting priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well-organized

Physical Working Conditions

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Comfortable with heights on ladders, lifts and stage grids.
