Job description

Position SummaryWe are seeking a motivated Electrical Field Engineer to support field operations on active construction projects. This role involves interpreting design documents, coordinating with field leadership, managing materials, and supporting cost, quality, and documentation controls. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and is eager to grow a career in the electrical construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate field operations and planning with the Electrical Superintendent
  • Read and interpret specifications, plans, subcontracts, and shop drawings
  • Take field measurements and perform quantity takeoffs
  • Assist with field layouts and conduit routing plans
  • Support electrical material and equipment procurement
  • Manage materials inventory and assist with field quality control
  • Assist with project cost control activities
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records
  • Prepare and manage shop drawing submittals
  • Identify and assist with change orders and potential claims

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field
  • Strong interest in electrical construction and field-based project work
  • Ability to work outdoors in an active construction environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other trades and project teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
