Job description

General Description:
Th As-Built Drafter position is responsible for providing CADD Drawings, P&ID's, and as-builts to client. Also, communicates and interacts with all required personnel.
This position will be responsible for driving CCI Industrial Services Mission, Vision, and Values, a crucial part of the strategic plan to drive success. CCI Industrial Services leads the industry in Safety, Innovation, and Excellence. CCI Industrial Services mission is to provide quality-driven, cost-effective inspection and asset management services to support resource development companies.
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Ensure a safe work environment.
  • Staging :
  • Run Impact Reports.
  • Generate working folders to compile required documentation elements.
  • Drafting:
  • Use computer-aided design software (CAD) to capture red-to-black drawing revisions based on customer submittals.
  • Convert sketches and drawings from engineers into detailed technical drawings for projects involving structural, mechanical, electrical (and other systems).
  • Coordinate with field to obtain clarification on redlines as required.
  • MEL Prep:
  • Prepare Master Equipment List (MEL) packets (if applicable).
  • QC / Check:
  • Review drafted as-built packages for technical/documentation integrity purposes.
  • Release Masters:
  • Check-in updated documents/drawings into EDDI.
  • Update EDDI attributes.
  • Route EPT package to MEL coordinator (if applicable).
  • Signoff MOC task (if applicable).
  • General:
  • Provide CAD training/assistance.
  • Advise other business teams/groups with documentation and as-built specific processes.
  • Reporting / Communication:
  • Update as-built tracking log with status of project.
  • Monthly Metrics - end of month reporting and metrics
  • Special Project Tracking - RTIs, goals, etc..
  • Strong drive and willingness to take on a challenge.
  • Deliver professional results in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect operations, including intellectual property.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory document control requirements.
  • Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually on projects.
  • Skilled in intermediate level proficiency Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Contingencies:

Candidates will not be compensated for their personal time spent completing these programs for drug test or FCE evaluation.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • CAD Certification or Associates Degree in Applied Science in Technical Drafting from accredited two-year college is required.
  • Experience as a Drafter of oil and gas engineering drawings.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Current API 510 or 570 Certification is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • API qualifications for MFL/MFE and/or Bubble Leak Test is preferred.
  • Current ASNT Level 2 certifications for UT (full), MT, and PT is preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
  • NACE, ASME, SSPC, or other relevant industrial certifications is preferred.
