Job description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Survey Drafter to prepare accurate, high‑quality survey drawings and plans based on field‑collected data. This role works closely with other survey team members and engineers to produce maps, plats, exhibits, and construction documents that align with company standards and project requirements. The Survey Drafter applies survey calculations, coordinates, and technical data to create precise and professional deliverables.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Produce survey drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D in accordance with company drafting standards.
  • Prepare boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, certified survey maps, condominium plats, preliminary and final plats, record drawings, exhibits, and construction staking setup files.
  • Interpret and draft based on redlines, markups, and revisions provided by other survey team members and engineers.
  • Apply coordinates, bearings, distances, elevations, and curve data to survey drawings with accuracy.
  • Read, interpret, and draft legal descriptions.
  • Work independently while seeking clarification when needed to ensure accuracy.
  • Support survey teams by preparing deliverables on schedule and maintaining organized drafting files.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Basic understanding of land surveying principles and terminology.
  • Experience working with point clouds (preferred).
  • Ability to understand and apply survey calculations and coordinate geometry.
