Drafter/Designer: Hudson, WI
Our customer in Hudson, Wisconsin is seeking dependable individuals to join their team. They are seeking motivated individuals who can contribute to the overall success of the company as a Drafter/Designer on 1st Shift.
Responsibilities of the Drafter/Designer:
  • Create drawings using SolidWorks software and produce mechanical drawings from 2D & 3D drawings.
  • Prepare detailed drawings of intricate design components or units from layout drawings.
  • Construct prototypes and confirm designs with Design/Purchasing team.
  • Research materials required for projects.
  • Prepare bill of materials, shop drawings and programming for flame cut parts.
  • Prepare job packets for all production departments.
  • Organize and maintain existing design records.
  • Calculate dimensions and specify standard allowances when not stated.
Drafter/Designer Requirements and Qualifications:
  • College, technical school, or 3-6 months related experience preferred
  • Must be proficient with SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook required
  • Intermediate mathematical skills required
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills required
  • Metal fabrication, welding or machine shop background preferred
Pay for Drafter/Designer: Starting at $25.72-30.12/hour.
