Job description

Energy Survey Drafter 2
Position Purpose:
The survey drafter is responsible for working with Surveyors to develop 2D and 3D drawings as well as other documents (including but not limited to AutoCAD & Civil 3D) for client projects.
Essential Functions:
  • Create drawings for survey related projects
  • Obtain and assemble data to complete survey drawings
  • Draw topographical maps
  • Prepare easement drawings and legal descriptions
  • Draw land title surveys to meet ALTA/NSPS standard detail requirements
  • Convert drawing formats to be compatible with engineering and client requirements
  • Read and understand deeds and related legal documents
  • Create and store drawings electronically
  • Independently research project specific information
  • Determine procedures and instructions to be followed according to survey specifications
  • Observe, receive and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources
  • Operate computer-aided drafting equipment to produce working drawings
  • Manages billable time to hit target utilization

Required Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in Civil 3D, Carlson drafting and detailing
  • Advanced AutoCAD skills
  • Prior experience in survey drafting

Preferred Education/Experience:
  • Associates Degree

Travel:
  • Travel between offices for collaboration with team members and for project meetings will be required
