Blue Ridge Beverage Company, Inc., a leading distributor of beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages in Central and Southwest Virginia, is looking for a full timeDraft Technicianto help grow our business.

Draft Technicians work in the field to ensure that draft beer systems located in assigned retail accounts are cleaned on a set schedule and maintained in manner to provide highest quality draft beer. The draft technicians also build strong working relations with managers, owners, and bartenders on your routes an assist with promoting company products.

Job Type: Full-Time

Duties:

  • Clean and maintain draft beer systems according to schedule and Company draft line cleaning procedures.
  • Execute installation of draft beer systems in assigned accounts as scheduled.
  • Check temperatures and equipment pressures. Confirm code dates of all products in the market.
  • Diagnose and resolve basic draft line problems, including but not limited to, fixing pouring issues, changing faucets and couplers minimally.
  • Maintain required logs to demonstrate cleaning and maintenance performed on schedule.
  • Maintain clean/sanitary work environment.
  • Maintain effective relationships with customers and team members.
  • Provide setup and assistance at various events, including festivals and concerts as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable diving record.
  • 6 months of related experience in a setting requiring use of hand and power tools (drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, crimps, etc.). Experience in draft beer equipment, including taps, lines, etc., preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen that includes THC.

The following list of physical requirements are required to perform the entire job: frequent bending, stooping, standing, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and sitting; fine finger and hand manipulation; speaking clearly; hearing so as to be able to maintain conversation; seeing so as to be able to read and to drive a vehicle; and lifting, moving and carrying up to 25 lbs., frequently lift and/or move more than 50 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 lbs. Must be able to work in varying temperatures as assignments may involve working in a cooler.* *
