Summary:
ATI is currently looking for a Self-Release Quality Inspector (DQR) at our Cudahy, WI location. The DQR is responsible for the oversight of the several key functions required to maintain the Quality Management System including certified self-release of product. The DQR will collaborate on cross-functional teams including sales, shipping, manufacturing, and production.
Essential Function:
  • Review of process documents to determine product/process conformance
  • Review of customer related documents to determine product/process conformance
  • Other administrative tasks in support of Quality Engineers/Quality Manager
  • Spreadsheet data entry and maintenance
  • Report preparation
  • Preparation of QMS documents (procedures, forms, etc.)
  • Review of certificate of conformance for customer shipments
  • Customer contract review.
  • Pre-shipment review and release of paperwork and product (DQR)
  • Review of part marking and product workmanship
  • Coordinate inspection activities for shipments
  • Review of product deviation requests
  • Specification review and interpretation
  • Drawing review and interpretation
  • Review and release of work orders to manufacturing
  • Review of raw material acceptance.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ year experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Inspection
  • 1+ year experience in a manufacturing setting

Essential Skills
  • Experience with ISO90001
  • Experience performing internal quality system and product audits
  • Corrective action/root cause analysis experience.
  • Experience as an OEM certified release agent
  • DPRV (SAE AS13001) Certification

Preferred Qualifications
  • Some college credit in engineering or related technical discipline
  • Prior work in Metals or Aerospace Manufacturing

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities typically required to perform the essential functions of this job.
Knowledge of:

  • Metallurgical concepts and terms
  • Blueprint interpretation
  • Specification interpretation
  • Process analysis for conformance to design requirements
  • Ability to use hand measuring tools (calipers, height gages, light meters)
  • Ability to read and understand inspection data reports (CMM reports)

Skilled in:
  • Competency in Windows-based software such as Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Applicant must exhibit excellent communication skills using English language (both verbally and in writing).
  • Applicant shall be detail orientated and exhibit a strong sense of responsibility and punctuality.
  • Be familiar with AS9100 and quality system requirements including audits

Ability to:
  • Work with minimal supervision, as well as in a team setting.
  • Prioritize workload and manage time accordingly
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
  • Keep documentation and records organized per customer requirements
