Job Description SummaryOrganization's Summary Statement:
The University of Maryland Eastern Shore currently invites resumes for a full-time, twelve-month, tenure track position in the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. The salary is commensurate with experience.
Salary Range - $90,000 - $95,000

Department Information: The Department of Physical Therapy has fully equipped laboratories that include Human Anatomy, Motion Analysis, Cardiopulmonary, and Clinical Practice Simulation. The department encourages and participates in numerous collaborative efforts with local clinics, hospitals, and universities. Responsibilities:
Teach courses and professional content within a DPT program and engage
in university, department, and community projects that may involve
research and/or clinical activities for the department. Areas of instruction
include therapeutic exercise, communication and psychosocial aspects of
disability, physical therapy tests and measures, prosthetic rehabilitation,
clinical judgement seminars, and other physical therapy procedures.
Develop a scholarship agenda.
Participate in professional/service activities.
Coordinate courses as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy with advanced certification credential.
Licensure as a physical therapist (or eligible for licensure and license
obtained within 90 days of employment) in the State of Maryland.
Five (5) years of full-time post-licensure clinical practice experience
(preferably with some experience in an inpatient setting).
Preferences:
Candidates with completed or significant progress toward a terminal
academic doctorate degree (Ph.D., EdD, DSc, etc.)
Physical Demands:
May require extended periods of standing, bending, stooping, sitting at
desk.
May require lifting.
Requires communication with a variety of constituents externally and
internally.
Requires operation of a variety of office equipment.
Licenses/ Certifications: Licensure as a physical therapist (or eligible for licensure and license obtained within 90 days of employment) in the State of Maryland.Additional Job Details
