Job description

As a member of the Peoria Chiefs Ticket Sales Team, the Account Executive will be responsible for selling season tickets (full and mini ticket packages), group tickets and premium inventory for the Peoria Chiefs and Dozer Park. Along with being responsible for managing fan-centric merchandise inventory, driving retail sales, analyzing performance metrics, and leading merchandise and apparel initiatives that align with the team's brand.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Sell season tickets and partial plans with particular focus on group ticket sales
  • Execute effective sales calls and presentations promoting the purchase of the available seating products in order to meet established sales objectives and goals
  • Create strong relationships with our customer base by staying in consistent contact through phone calls, emails and in-game visits
  • Prospect for new sales by placing outbound cold calls and conducting in-person meetings
  • Prospect for new sales by representing the organization at various community events
  • Research and prospect for new business leads
  • Renew full & mini-plan package holders and group ticket purchasers
  • Work in conjunction with fellow Sales Team Members to uphold mandates and ethics of the entire department regarding sales and service objectives
  • Participate in events, promotions, client entertainment and other activities as required
  • Work closely with Ticket Operations department to ensure inventory integrity and high levels of service for all seat holders
  • Work scheduled shifts during Peoria Chiefs home games and other required team and/or Dozer Park events, activities or functions as required
  • Provide problem solving techniques to assist all customer inquiries and concerns
  • Proactively create opportunities for new business with existing customers
  • Develop and execute seasonal merchandise plans aligned with brand identity, fan preferences, and sales and gross-profit targets.
  • Establish and manage the annual merchandising plan and budget for all Peoria Chiefs merchandise.
  • Plan, implement and oversee high-volume retail operations during home games, including designing store and kiosk layout and setup display, managing inventory turnover, signage and reconciliation and reports.
  • Manage the e-commerce platform to ensure accurate product listings, photos and descriptions.
  • Ensure all products meet brand guidelines, quality standards and licensing requirements.
  • Ensure merchandise stock is stocked and replenished as required and collaborate with Creative Director to oversee visual merchandising and signage to ensure the store aligns with the Peoria Chiefs brand identity.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Ticketing departments to execute and align on promotional campaigns strengthening fan engagement, theme nights, commercial ROI, product launches, player milestones and seasonal marketing push.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year sports/entertainment sales experience or other professional sales experience
  • Must be assertive, self-motivated team player that has the ability to focus on both departmental and individual growth
  • Ability to handle heavy phone volume, both outbound and inbound required
  • College graduate (4) year degree preferred
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays as dictated by events
  • Exceptionally work ethic and strong desire to succeed
