PART TIME PERMANENT SERVER


Job Summary: Our servers are the face of the best morning in Red Lodge, providing a warm and inviting start for hotel guests and locals alike. You'll be a champion of our famous donuts and classic breakfast and lunch favorites, ensuring every visitor enjoys a relaxed, high-quality dining experience in our historic setting. We're looking for a dependable, morning-loving professional who takes pride in thoughtful service and making Marli's the community's favorite daily tradition.

Guest Engagement & Service

  • Provide a warm, personalized welcome to every guest, setting a peaceful and inviting tone for their breakfast or lunch experience.
  • Highlight our famous Breakfast and lunch menu, explaining specialties, and suggesting the perfect pairings.
  • Enhance the morning routine through expert knowledge of our coffee service and food preparation, famous baked goods, and proactive identification of guest preferences and dietary needs.
  • Maintain attentive floor presence, anticipating coffee/beverage refills and guest needs before they are voiced to ensure a seamless, stress-free meal.

Operational & Team Support

  • Ensure order accuracy by carefully recording guest choices and communicating effectively with the kitchen team to keep service moving smoothly.
  • Enhance organizational efficiency by assisting with essential side tasks, including silverware roll-ups, laundry, and keeping our famous donut display stocked and attractive.
  • Maintain high service standards through continuous table maintenance, including prompt clearing of courses and keeping dining areas pristine.
  • Uphold safety and integrity by strictly adhering to all sanitation and safety policies to protect our guests and our historic establishment.

Operational Readiness & Integrity

  • Master the "Ready for Service" setup by performing thorough opening and closing duties to ensure the dining room and patio are perfectly prepared for the next day's guests.
  • Manage financial precision by accurately totaling charges, issuing bills, and processing payments with professional care.
  • Stay digitally connected via cell phone and/or email to effectively use internal management systems, including staff scheduling and human resources applications.

Skills and Qualifications:

Hospitality Mindset

  • Naturally kind, honest, and dependable; demonstrates a consistently professional and engaging attitude.
  • Ability to work quickly and stay organized while anticipating both guest and team needs in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong verbal skills used to effectively coordinate with front-of-house and back-of-house staff.
  • Availability to work Sundays and Mondays. Banquet shifts may be available.

Certifications & Compliance

  • Safety & Service: Must possess (or be willing to obtain) a valid R.A.S.S. (Responsible Alcohol Sales and Service) Certificate.
