Job description

DoubleLine is seeking a highly energetic and motivated analyst to join the CMBS/CRE team. The candidate will play an integral role in the CRE loan investment and asset management processes.
Job Functions
  • Underwrite CRE debt investments across senior mortgage, mezzanine and preferred equity
  • Evaluate new investment opportunities from the pipeline; screen, size and price deals; assess borrower business plans, capex programs, leasing, and market dynamics
  • Prepare investment memoranda and present underwriting, risks, mitigants and relative value
  • Lead and coordinate due diligence: third-party reports (appraisal, environmental, engineering), lease and operating statement audits, background/KYC, and market/tenant studies
  • Support transaction execution and closing
  • Assist with asset management: performance and covenants, perform re-underwriting as needed
  • Support capital markets activities for participations, warehouse and securitization

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5 to 7 years experience in CRE credit/underwriting; bridge and/or LifeCo exposure preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead underwriting and closing workstreams with limited supervision
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills; proficiency with ARGUS Enterprise strongly preferred
  • Strong grasp of loan structuring and documentation
  • Broad familiarity with U.S. CRE property types and geographies
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage transactions in parallel under tight timelines

Base Salary Range
The estimated base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $175,000 In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
