Pay Range: $76,000 - $94,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications
MITER Brands™ is a residential window and door manufacturer that provides a leading portfolio of window and door brands for the new construction and replacement segments. MITER Brands, also known as Milgard, MI Windows & Doors and PGTI is one of the nation's largest suppliers of vinyl windows and patio doors, with plants across the country.
The 1st Shift Production Supervisor is a member of the plant leadership team. Directly responsible for the overall management of the assigned department including all aspects of current operation to assure acceptable safety, housekeeping, quality, productivity, employee conduct and performance criteria are achieved. Direct responsibility for all department employees to ensure proper orientations, training, development, compensation and working conditions are present.
This position supervises the 1st Shift that typically runs 5:00am - 3:00pm Monday through Friday. Flexibility to work overtime & Saturday as needed to meet the needs of the business, and our customers, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for assigned department functions and all associated personnel.
  • Appropriately staff and schedule departmental personnel to ensure production requirements are met while minimizing costs.
  • Plan departmental operations by establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
  • Develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Ensures plant staff (Leads) enforces company policies and procedures, plant wide safety rules and employee rules of conduct.
  • Develop people; improve processes; reduce costs; quality monitoring and improvements; superior customer service; and on-time delivery.
  • Incorporate Milgard's vision and values into day-to-day activities and behaviors; guides and motivates others to remain committed to the Milgard philosophy.
  • Interview, hire, train, terminate, discipline and coach employees.
  • Motivate employees to achieve results.
  • Participate in the Leadership Development Program (LDP) for the location.
  • Create and execute MPS objectives, meeting MPS commitments and working within the guidelines of MPS; Reflect Milgard-Temecula business values and the Milgard philosophy in all business interactions.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures related to all facets of job.
  • Proper usage of personal protective equipment.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma required; Some college preferred
  • Minimum two (2) to three (3) years production leadership experience
  • Employee management experience preferred
  • Must be an effective communicator, capable of teaching and generating results while enhancing the Milgard work environment and supporting the Company philosophy

Work Environment
  • Work performed in a warehouse type facility with temperatures subject to normal environmental conditions.
  • Hearing protection and safety glasses required, additional safety equipment provided based on specific job.
