In addition to our many benefits and perks, UAB Medicine provides a variety of resources to support employees both personally and professionally.The Procurement Transplant Coordinator I position allows an individual who may be interested in a career in organ and tissue procurement to become proficient in the protocols and procedures of LOH organ and tissue procurement programs. The PTC 1 learns to facilitate all portions of the organ donation process including referral response, evaluation for suitability, obtaining authorization, performing donor management, organ evaluation and allocation, recovery, and kidney perfusion

The position allows a person on-the-job training until proficiency is obtained.
