Lotus Notes / Domino Developer (Automotive Industry)

Top Consulting is seeking an experienced Lotus Notes / Domino Developer to support and enhance enterprise applications within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role focuses on maintaining legacy systems, developing new workflows, and integrating Domino applications with modern platforms supporting production, supply chain, and quality operations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using IBM Notes and HCL Domino
  • Enhance and support legacy Notes databases used in manufacturing operations, quality tracking, and supplier management
  • Develop forms, views, agents, and workflows using LotusScript, @Formulas, and Java
  • Integrate Domino applications with ERP, MES, and other enterprise systems commonly used in automotive environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, supply chain, quality) to gather requirements and deliver solutions
  • Perform system upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives (e.g., transitioning to web-based or cloud solutions)
  • Ensure application security, access controls, and compliance with internal and industry standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, ensuring minimal downtime for critical plant operations
  • Document technical designs, processes, and user guides

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 3 7+ years of experience developing with IBM Notes/Domino
  • Strong experience with:
    • LotusScript, @Formulas, and Domino Designer
    • Domino web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
    • Integration using REST APIs, ODBC, or middleware
  • Preferred experience supporting legacy systems in a manufacturing or automotive environment
  • Understanding of SDLC, version control, and testing practices
  • Preferred Experience in automotive manufacturing systems (ERP, MES, PLM)
  • Experience with modernization or migration from Domino to newer technologies
