We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.
Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.
Job Summary
This role includes dual responsibility for developing and managing programs to support the organization's strategic direction, with a specialized focus on leveraging AI to enhance Electric Distribution workflows and productivity. The Program Manager will create and manage long-term goals, budgets, operating plans, and business cases to achieve prescribed programmatic objectives, including the deployment of AI-powered solutions to support productivity, knowledge transfer, and technical and engineering analysis.
Lead the development of strategic business partnerships across internal departments, external customers, regulatory bodies, and industry peers, while serving as a consistent and accurate spokesperson for the company. This role involves researching, developing, and implementing AI solutions to support business stakeholders and delivering timely status reports throughout the implementation lifecycle. Collaborate with Electric Distribution business teams to refine process-particularly those leveraging AI and advanced analytics-and ensure transparent communication with stakeholders regarding project decisions. Support contract negotiations and regulatory filings, including RFPs, while maintaining compliance and execution standards. Monitor budgets, establish project timelines and milestones, and manage scope, scope of changes, and project costs. Drive customer outreach and ensure fulfillment of customer commitments.
Note: Relevant programs include: Broadband, DER Interconnects, Strategic US and Outdoor Lighting
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
  • 7-8+ years related electric utility industry and/or Generative AI experience.
  • Prior experience in both team and process management.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, resolution management, and team building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and assess risks and opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of Generative AI principles, transformer architectures, and attention mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based ML platforms (Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI, etc.)
  • Awareness of data privacy regulations and secure handling of sensitive utility data.
  • Ability to build user-friendly interfaces for engineering and field staff (Power BI, Power Apps).
  • Experience with version control (Git), agile development methodologies, and collaborative coding environments.
  • Strong communication skills to explain AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with engineers, analysts, and field crews to gather feedback and iterate on solutions.

Bachelor's degree preferred in:
