Veterinary Technician

Duties:

- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and dental cleanings
- Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and treatments
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Take and develop X-rays for diagnostic purposes
- Provide assistance with dog training and pet grooming as needed

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a veterinary technician program or relevant certification
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility preferred
- Knowledge of animal behavior, anatomy, and common medical conditions
- Proficiency in performing routine veterinary procedures such as vaccinations and blood draws
- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and effectively
- Excellent communication skills to interact with pet owners and veterinary staff
