Job description

Description:

Position Overview

Good Clean Dog is a fast-growing startup on a mission to disrupt the dog-grooming industry by creating a better experience for dogs, the people who love them, and the professionals who care for them.

We’re looking for a Marketing & Community Coordinator to turn our marketing plans into thoughtful, organized execution. This person will help plan and execute campaigns and new-shop launches, build relationships throughout the St. Louis community, support our online community, and bring customer acquisition and retention programs to life in HubSpot.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys making connections, coordinating details, and moving projects forward. The right person will be equally comfortable representing Good Clean Dog at a local event, finding new ways to connect Good Clean Dog to the STL community, unpacking a marketing analytics report, and building an email campaign in HubSpot.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in planning and executing integrated marketing campaigns, new-shop launches, in-shop promotions, and other growth initiatives.
  • Research, establish, and maintain relationships with local businesses, influencers, community organizations, and other brand partners.
  • Identify, coordinate, and represent Good Clean Dog at community events, sponsorships, pop-ups, and grassroots marketing opportunities.
  • Coordinate influencer partnerships, including outreach, appointments, content visits, deliverables, and follow-up.
  • Partner with our content team to manage social media comments, direct messages, and online reviews, escalating customer concerns when appropriate.
  • Build and schedule approved email and SMS campaigns in HubSpot to support acquisition, onboarding, rebooking, retention, and reactivation.
  • Support Good Clean Dog’s digital presence and acquisition efforts by maintaining local listings, coordinating website and SEO content updates, and assisting with paid-media campaigns, assets, reporting, and conversion tracking.
  • Collaborate with shop teams, operations leaders, vendors, and agency partners to keep initiatives organized and on schedule.
  • Track results across campaigns, events, partnerships, influencers, community engagement, and CRM communications to help determine what is working.

 What Success Looks Like

  • Marketing campaigns and new-shop launches are strategically planned, accurately executed, and delivered on schedule.
  • Good Clean Dog develops meaningful community, business, and influencer relationships that increase local awareness and generate new pet-parent opportunities.
  • Community events and partnerships are well executed and evaluated based on their impact.
  • Our online community receives timely, helpful, and consistently on-brand engagement, with customer concerns appropriately escalated.
  • Marketing projects, partners, assets, and timelines stay organized, allowing internal teams and external partners to work together effectively.
  • Results are consistently tracked and translated into clear recommendations about what Good Clean Dog should continue, improve, or test next.
Requirements:

 What We’re Looking For

  • 2–4 years of experience in marketing, community engagement, partnerships, events, communications, or a related role.
  • A proactive, highly organized person who takes ownership and follows through.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a natural ability to build relationships.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to communicate in a warm, professional, and consistent brand voice.
  • Comfort managing multiple projects, partners, and deadlines.
  • Experience with CRM, email marketing, or marketing automation platforms; HubSpot experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with social media, online review management, and community engagement.
  • Familiarity with local SEO, Google Business Profile, paid digital media, and basic marketing analytics is preferred.
  • Comfort reviewing performance data and using it to improve future execution.
  • Willingness to attend occasional community events outside traditional business hours.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for Good Clean Dog’s mission, a passion for dogs (or at least like them A LOT), and the opportunity to help build a growing brand.

Additional Information

  • Candidates who are invited to participate in the final round will be required to undergo a short assessment to determine cultural and professional fit.
  • The selected candidate will be required to sign an employment agreement, including an NDA and non-compete / non-solicitation clause.

Compensation & Work Structure

  • Employment type: Full-time
  • Salary: $52,000–$65,000 annually, based on experience. Initially structured as base plus merit-based annual bonus (KPIs to be defined within the first 120 days of employment start date).
  • Benefits: Health insurance and flexible PTO
  • Reports to: This position reports to Good Clean Dog’s Director of Marketing
  • Work structure: Hybrid remote and in-office in St. Louis, with regular in-person work at Good Clean Dog’s headquarters in Brentwood, Missouri
