Our existing team consists of experienced, knowledgeable and reputable designers, estimators, project managers and repair managers who specialize in design, value engineering, construction and post-construction maintenance services. We have multiple full-time positions available now.

Job Description

The Superintendent is a critical position within the California Waters organization. Superintendents are responsible for the supervision and management of all aspects of each construction project from mobilization through punch list and demobilization, including communication and interaction with project management staff members regarding the project's production schedule and budget, all while managing client relations. 

Qualifications

- 10+ years of experience in the construction industry in a supervisory role.

- Experience in mechanical, concrete, forming, trenching, plumbing, and electrical

- Highly proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints, specifications and statements of work related to each project.  Must be able to read plans and take-offs

- Working knowledge of all trades and crafts.

- Must be able to deliver under pressure and meet project deadlines.

- Ability to interpret submittal packages and ensure quality control processes on the jobsite.

- A clear understanding of how RFI's and COR's are identified, issued, processed, tracked, and recorded.

- Familiarity with local, state and federal building codes and regulations

- Strong organizational skills, flexible, and contains the ability to prioritize work assignments.

- Excellent people skills with experience in collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse and dynamic team.

- Ability to handle multiple small to medium sized projects at the same time.

- Extreme attention to detail.

- Leadership abilities and the ability to motivate others.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Ability to communicate using electronic mail effectively.

- Availability to work extended hours as required by weather conditions or urgent circumstances.

- Ability to travel throughout all areas of construction sites during all phases of a project.

- Strong math and analytical skills.

- Intermediate level of creating and understanding Gantt style project scheduling.

- Must be proficient in Microsoft office suite of products (Excel, Project, Power Point, and Word) and Adobe Acrobat.


Additional Qualifications that are considered to be a "PLUS":

- HVAC experience.

- Pool construction experience

- Water Feature construction experience

- Masonry & Hardscape experience

- SCH 80 PVC pipe experience

- 4" and Greater Pipe experience

- Commercial and Public/Municipal experience

- Bilingual (Spanish & English)

- OSHA 10 hour training certification along with CPR and First Aid certification a plus.
