Job description

Vertical Jump Park in Erie, PA is searching for a motivated, high energy person that enjoys working in a fun, recreation focused environment. This individual needs to be able to lead a team and manage a large part time staff. A strong desire to provide an excellent customer experience is critical. Evenings and weekends are required for this position.
Position Summary:
The General Manager directs and oversees all functions of the facility, including: administering policy; maintaining a safe and functional operating environment; monitoring daily operations; preparing and managing marketing strategies; maintaining the facility; and retaining overall responsibility for facility and staff.
Qualifications:
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Prior large facility management
• Ability to work nights/weekends
• Preferred- 3 years of personnel management
• Preferred- 3 years of business financial management
• Risk management experience
• Background in hospitality, restaurant, or family entertainment a plus
• Mechanical and/or maintenance experience a plus
• Proficient in MS Office products
• Knowledge of PC/printer connectivity
Responsibilities:
• Maintain the culture and vision of the Vertical brand
• Open and close the facility
• Oversee employee hiring, development/training, HR documentation, and evaluations
• Maintain Vertical Policies and Procedures in all aspects of the facility
• Scheduling of Team Members
• Submit business reports
• Schedule and lead weekly manager meetings to review issues, assign tasks and lead by example
• Coordinate with the Corporate Office to assure compliance on all corporate requirements
• Oversee cash management of facility
• Provide staff with daily and quarterly ongoing training
• Handle customer service issues with discretion and professionalism
• Ensure all staff know all products, procedures, and service
• Advocate guests safety and experience
• Market outside corporate events and group sales
• Maintain relationship with local key influencers (schools, hospitals, corporations, etc.)
