Position DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Material & Delivery Assistant loads/unloads equipment, makes deliveries, maintains appropriate delivery logs, and properly stores job site equipment, tools, and parts in the warehouse. In addition, the Material & Delivery Assistant helps the Warehouse Lead with basic equipment and facility repairs. This position requires enthusiasm, dependability, strong work ethic, and the desire to perform a wide variety of assignments.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities- Maintain tools, supplies and/or equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of items and their safe operating condition
- Assist with repairs and installations such as heating/cooling and water heating products
- Transport or deliver various items including tools, equipment, and supplies to job sites and other D.A. Dodd facilities
- Demonstrate willingness and commitment to developing top-notch customer service skills
- Be adaptable to situational changes and emergency service needs
- Regularly use hand tools, power tools, and at times heavy machinery including man lifts, forklifts, or hammer drills
- Perform additional assignments as directed by the local Operations Manager, Warehouse Lead, or D.A. Dodd Corporate
Position RequirementsRequired Knowledge & Skills- Excellent driving record for both personal and work-related driving
- Basic Safety knowledge of tools and surroundings
Preferred Knowledge & Skills- Training and experience driving commercial vehicles on local city roads
Qualifications- High School diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
- Clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Provide proof of a DOT physical in the past twelve (12) months
FLSA StatusThis is a full-time, non-exempt position.
ReportingThis position reports to the Fabrication Manager.
