Are you looking for an opportunity to flex your technical skills as part of an engineering design team developing digital capabilities? The Modeling, Analytics, and Simulation Sciences (MASS) Operation is seeking a Digital Engineer to support our customers at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC). As a Digital Engineer on our team, you will use your combined MBSE and software knowledge/experience to help shape and implement digital solutions and services for our customers. You will work alongside engineers and software developers to develop authoritative engineering models that contribute to our nation's defense. You'll apply your knowledge of engineering processes, tools, methods, and programs to design and integrate system architectures, interfaces, and workflows to support Department of Defense (DoD) processes. Familiarity with domains such as defense, aerospace, or information technology is highly beneficial.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace, or related technical field

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

  • Experience using DE and MBSE tools and processes to create and manage tailored model-based artifacts that meet customer requirements

  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming languages, including Java, C++, or Python

  • Experience with software engineering and integrating different software platforms/tools

  • Strong knowledge of SysML/UML for modeling architectures and system behaviors

  • Proficiency with MBSE methodologies and tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, IBM Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect)

  • Experience with relational Ontologies, APIs, and designing schemas for workflows

  • Familiarity with DE concepts such as Digital Thread/Digital Twin applications, automation, and integration of MBSE across organizations

  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment, including internal staff, external contractors, and government customers

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce and present technical documentation and artifacts

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Engineering field or related certifications such as OCSMP Certifications, INCOSE CSEP, or Project Management PMP (among others)

  • Proven experience leading engineering teams through all phases of the Systems Engineering lifecycle using Digital Engineering methodologies

  • Knowledge of SysML 2.0

  • Experience in managing data from interdisciplinary and various program protection levels

  • Knowledge and interest in interdisciplinary work spanning Systems Engineering, Computer Science, and Data Science

  • Knowledge of configuration management, risk management, and cybersecurity
