Job description

This position is a dual role providing administrative and accounting support to audit teams and client engagements. Working with professional staff, administrative team members, and, at times, clients, this position requires a high degree of professionalism, attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Audit Team Coordinators are responsible for a variety of support tasks. Responsibilities may vary based on the time of year, client and team needs, and business priorities.
A successful Audit Team Coordinator will have a positive, service-oriented approach and strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. This position requires the ability to work independently with appropriate direction and collaboratively with team members at all levels of the Firm. At times, the Audit Team Coordinator may serve as a primary point of coordination among professional staff, administrative team members, and clients.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Manage new client engagement administration, including onboarding, system setup, tracking, and maintenance
  • Prepare client engagement letters
  • Prepare and track formal regulatory audit letters
  • Prepare and track audit correspondence and confirmations
  • Perform quality assurance and formatting review of audit deliverables, reports, and correspondence
  • Support audit workflows, including the assembly and organization of standardized client information and documentation
  • Assist with planning, interim, year-end, and other engagement-related tasks as directed by audit team members
  • Track and follow up on audit-related open items and assist with related processing
  • Assist with client and team administration, including status reporting, scheduling, deadline tracking, and due-date management
  • Coordinate team travel and related logistics
  • Provide general administrative support as needed
  • Perform other duties consistent with the position as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Ability to work in-office in either Carmel, Indiana, or Austin, Texas
  • Two or more years of experience in an administrative, coordinator, or similar support role
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, Google Workspace, and Adobe applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing deadlines, prioritize work, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail, including the ability to identify discrepancies in data, reports, and documentation and appropriately resolve or escalate issues
  • Strong document-production and keyboarding skills, including accuracy in formatting, template management, and proofreading
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two or more years of experience in public accounting, professional services, or a similar environment
  • Basic understanding of accounting fundamentals
  • Experience with electronic signature platforms, such as DocuSign

Compensation
  • $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
