Job description

Overview

The CAD Specialist will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining over 40,000 architectural and engineering drawings. They will create, update, and modify drawings, and ensure all documents are securely archived and easily accessible through a user-friendly web-based system. The role involves gathering and integrating information form various sources, including CMMS, hand-marked corrections, and other relevant systems, and adopting Revit only when it is optimal for communicating spatial information. Additionally, the CAD Specialist will support Facility Planning, Engineers, Skilled Trades Workers, Architects, Administrators, and Plant Operations, while also optimizing space allocation and utilization.

Qualifications

Education required: High school/GED completion

Education preferred: Associates or Bachelors Degree in Architectural, Engineering, Drafting, or a related field preferred Or equivalent experience and training

License, certification and/or registration: Relevant certifications in CAD and Revit are highly desirable

Experience: Proven experience (3-5 years minimum) as a CAD Specialist or similar role. Extensive experience in creating, updating, and managing a large volume of drawings. Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation) and proficiency in Revit. Experience in developing and managing web-accessible document filing systems.
