What You'll Do


Leadership & Administration


The Controller provides leadership, accountability, and support within the accounting function while clearly communicating financial information to staff and leadership. This role helps strengthen operational efficiency, improve financial procedures and workflows, and promote accountability across departments. The Controller also supports the mission and culture of Jubilee Ministries through servant leadership, teamwork, and a commitment to excellent stewardship.


Financial Responsibilities


The Controller is responsible for overseeing the organization's daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and financial documentation. This role ensures the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards, while supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting processes, audit preparation, and coordination with external auditors.


The Controller also supports organizational financial health by preparing and reviewing financial statements, monitoring cash flow, assisting with the annual budget process, and providing department leaders with financial reporting and budget analysis. This position helps maintain and improve accounting systems, internal controls, purchasing procedures, grant and restricted fund tracking, technology improvements, and payroll support as needed to promote strong stewardship and continued ministry growth.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, required
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial or accounting-related position is necessary
  • Experience in preparing and managing budgets and forecasting is preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of successful leadership experience, preferred
  • Proficiency with technology, including MS Suite and accounting software, essential. 
  • QuickBooks Online experience preferred
  • Demonstrated community involvement, strongly preferred

Hours: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000
