Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Document Control Lead opportunity to support the Savannah River Site.
Work Location: Aiken, SC
Document Control Lead-
Document Control Lead will support a multi-year construction project involving significant civil, mechanical, and electrical construction, including grading, storm drainage, demolition, earthwork, ductbanks, firewater, service water, process piping, electrical systems, and associated site infrastructure.
Duties:
  • Lead project document control activities supporting construction, engineering, quality, procurement, and project management.
  • Administer controlled documents in accordance with the project QMS, applicable ASME NQA-1 requirements, DOE Order 414.1D, project procedures, and contractual requirements.
  • Control the receipt, processing, review, approval, revision, distribution, retrieval, and retention of project documents.
  • Ensure personnel have access to current approved revisions of drawings, specifications, procedures, work packages, and other controlled documents.
  • Maintain document registers, revision histories, distribution records, transmittals, and document status information.
  • Process new and revised documents through established review and approval workflows.
  • Identify and prevent unintended use of obsolete or superseded documents.
  • Maintain document traceability and ensure controlled records are complete, legible, retrievable, and protected.
  • Coordinate document control activities with Quality, Engineering, Construction, Procurement, suppliers, subcontractors, and project management.
  • Provide direction and work coordination to document control personnel as assigned.
  • Monitor document workflows and resolve outstanding reviews, approvals, distribution issues, and other document control discrepancies.
  • Support preparation, compilation, and turnover of project records and final documentation packages.
  • Support audits, surveillances, and assessments by retrieving controlled documents, records, and objective evidence.
  • Verify document control activities and records meet applicable project and quality requirements.

Skills/Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of document control, records management, project controls, quality records, or related experience supporting industrial construction, engineering, DOE, nuclear, or other highly regulated projects.
  • Experience administering controlled technical documents and revision processes.
  • Experience with electronic document management systems and document workflow processes.
  • Knowledge of document numbering, revision control, distribution, transmittals, records retention, and document status tracking.
  • Experience supporting engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, work packages, vendor documents, and/or quality records.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Quality, Information Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with document control or quality records under an ASME NQA-1 or DOE quality program.
  • Previous DOE, nuclear, EPC, or large-scale industrial construction experience.
  • Experience leading or coordinating document control personnel.
  • Experience supporting project turnover and final records packages.
  • Familiarity with quality audits, surveillances, and records retrieval requirements.
  • Previous Savannah River Site or other DOE site experience.
