We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and self-managed Drafter and Documentation Specialist to support our engineering and manufacturing operations. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and updating mechanical and electro-mechanical drawings, translating redline markups into finished documentation, and managing controlled change activities across active production lines.
This is a vital, hands-on on-site role requiring a strong technical foundation in both AutoCAD and SolidWorks, alongside solid familiarity with document control procedures and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems. You will work cross-functionally with production engineering to initiate Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and ensure seamless release of controlled data. If you excel at independent problem-solving, rigorous document control, and multi-tasking in a dynamic manufacturing environment, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities

โ€ข Redline Translation: Review red-lined technical drawings from production engineering and translate them into accurate, finished, and releasable documentation.
โ€ข Design Support: Provide continuous drafting support for engineering changes, manufacturing updates, and special corporate branding/product transition initiatives.
Documentation Control & Change Management
โ€ข ECN Processing: Initiate, process, review, and track Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to support controlled change activities across cross-functional teams.
โ€ข BOM & Data Integrity: Maintain strict compliance with document control procedures, bills of material (BOMs), drawing revisions, and configuration management standards.
โ€ข Specification Management: Review and comprehend technical specification sheets, creating and editing controlled documents as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
โ€ข Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field (or equivalent professional work experience). Experience handling controlled data is a strong plus.
โ€ข Experience Baseline: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional documentation change management or drafting experience within a manufacturing environment.
โ€ข Technical Mastery:
oProven proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (solid working knowledge of models, assemblies, and part configurations).
oFamiliarity with enterprise ERP systems (e.g., Visual Manufacturing, SAP, Oracle) and PLM software (e.g., Agile, Omnify, EPDM).
oWorking knowledge of document control procedures, configuration management, and BOM structures.
โ€ข Core Competencies: Highly organized self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision; proactive, positive, and collaborative team player; exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
