Job Title: Medical Doctor (MD)
Location: Narcotic Drug Treatment Center (Kenai)

Schedule: Flexible hours, Monday-Friday
Position Overview:
We are seeking a licensed Medical Doctor (MD) to join our team in a flexible, patient-focused role within an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP). This position is ideal for a physician interested in providing essential care and supporting patients through the enrollment and assessment process.
Position Requirements:
Medical Doctor
Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Alaska
Current DEA licensure required
Supervisor:
Medical Director
Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient enrollments for the Opioid Treatment Program
  • Conduct intake assessments and physical examinations for patients.
  • Confirm addiction diagnosis and certify medical eligibility for program admission.
  • Perform ongoing assessments of patient health needs, including completion of inpatient treatment clearance forms.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and program requirements
  • Review and monitor patient information in the Alaska Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP).
  • Authorize the release of personal information for a State of Alaska criminal background check.
    • MD must be cleared and deemed eligible for hire by the State of Alaska, Division of Behavioral Health.
