Job description

Orlans Law Group, an innovative default law firm representing servicers and secured creditors in multiple jurisdictions. This position is responsible for progressing files through the foreclosure process by preparing and filing legal documents, preparing and mailing correspondences, acting as a liaison to outside vendors as well as managing an inventory of files and communicating file progression to clients. Our office is located in Troy, MI and this position is hybrid.


Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for monitoring all client websites and responding to various inquiries. Includes non-routine, complex matters. Ensures complete client satisfaction; accurately relaying status updates of cases and escalating files accordingly.
  2. Responds to emails, phone calls and voicemail messages from clients and vendors and responds to basic questions and concerns in a timely manner. Includes review and response to process servers and observing trends and patterns to determine efficacy of vendor’s performance.
  3. Runs various reports and ensures accuracy and compliance. Utilizes reports and court docket to track court deadlines and prepare, file and mail documents accordingly.
  4. Performs open-source research to identify addresses to be used by process servers.
  5. Responsible for assisting in all areas of the department with routine daily functions as necessary.
  6. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required and Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • High degree of customer service required.
  • Intermediate computer skills required.
  • Error-free data entry skills required.
  • Detail orientation and task prioritization required.
