Job Title: Litigation Paralegal

Industry: Legal Services

Assignment Type: Direct Hire

Pay: $90,000 - $130,000 annually

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM | Hybrid (2-3 days onsite during training, approximately the first 90 days)

Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its growing litigation team. This role provides direct support to multiple attorneys throughout all phases of complex litigation, from case inception through trial. The ideal candidate has strong experience with legal research, cite checking, court filings, and trial preparation, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive litigation support throughout the entire lifecycle of a case, including discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
  • Perform detailed cite checking and fact verification for legal briefs and court filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court requirements.
  • Prepare, file, and track legal documents in both Federal and State Courts while monitoring court deadlines and case calendars.
  • Organize, review, and manage large volumes of case documents using legal document management and review platforms.
  • Coordinate document production and assist with electronic discovery initiatives.
  • Conduct legal research using online legal research tools and databases.
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys, legal assistants, and litigation support professionals to ensure matters progress efficiently.
  • Maintain confidentiality while communicating professionally with clients, attorneys, court personnel, and internal staff.

 

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise in cite checking and Bluebook citation formatting.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • 3 - 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience within a law firm.
  • Experience supporting matters through every stage of litigation, including depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Proficiency with Federal and State Court e-filing and docket management.
  • Experience using legal technology such as Relativity (or similar eDiscovery platforms), NetDocuments or iManage, Westlaw, and Bluebook citation software.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines while working independently and collaboratively.
