The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills and enjoys being physically active.

$500 retention bonus after 3 months of employment and $1,000 retention bonus after 6 months, 9 months, and 12 months of employment

Position Information:

  • 4-day (Tuesday-Friday) work week the majority of the year (Mid-September to Mid-May), 5-day (Monday-Friday) work week (mid-May to mid-September)
  • No weekends
  • Full-Time, Year-Round

Compensation:

  • Compensation starting at $59,900 annually for CDL-B drivers
  • Compensation starting at $65,100 annually for CDL-A drivers
  • Monthly bonus program

Primary Contribution to Amoskeag Beverages:

  • Drive to customer accounts safely, obeying all regulations, laws and ordinances
  • Deliver product to each stop and put the product away safely and neatly at the customer’s direction, to include merchandising as needed or requested
  • Rotate stock to maintain fresh product and avoid out of code status
  • Be professional, courteous and respectful to co-workers, customers and the general public

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to FMCSA regulations including the 10 hour down time regulation
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and secure the load on the truck
  • Fill out the DVR report for the DOT (log books if required)
  • Note any mechanical or truck problems on DVRs and report to the Dock Foreman and immediate Supervisor
  • Perform a pre-trip inspection on any power industrial equipment
  • Review and verify paperwork & invoices; making sure you have the correct load
  • Ensure any needed Point of Sale items are loaded into the truck for the appropriate route
  • Have the customer sign the invoice verifying product delivered
  • Pick up checks, noting amount received
  • Take returns from the customer, indicating quantities on invoice
  • Fill out proper paperwork for any discrepancies
  • Put pallets, kegs, breakage, returns and equipment in the appropriate designated areas in the warehouse
  • Submit any invoices to the Dock Foreman for processing, making sure collections are 100% accurate
  • Maintain a clean and tidy vehicle including both the cab and box areas
  • Perform all duties safely and responsibly
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • CDL-A or CDL-B license with airbrake endorsement and medical card
  • Driving record that meets the Company’s standards per the Fleet Policy and acceptable FMCSA Query
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly and up to 165 lbs. occasionally
  • Able to reach, stand, sit, kneel, bend, push, pull, and climb repeatedly or for long periods of time
  • Certified and able to operate power industrial equipment and able to use a two-wheeler
  • Good communication skills with legible handwriting
  • Ability to operate an iPad or other mobile device
  • Excellent organization skills with ability to properly complete paperwork as needed
  • Self-starter who is able to work both independently and as a team

Working Conditions:

  • Warehouse and retail environment- loading and unloading of product on trucks
  • Driving in all road and weather conditions, wearing a seatbelt while operating a vehicle for business purposes
  • Must wear Company provided uniform and safety toe shoes at all times while working
