Our client is seeking a detail-oriented DNA Scientist to join their growing laboratory team. This is an excellent opportunity for scientists with hands-on molecular biology experience who are looking to build a career in a production laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with DNA extraction, molecular techniques, and working within a regulated laboratory setting.
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
What You'll Do
  • Perform DNA extraction from a variety of sample types, along with DNA quantification and quality control testing.
  • Conduct serology testing while following established SOPs, accreditation standards, and laboratory safety protocols.
  • Receive, process, secure, and document evidence while maintaining strict chain-of-custody procedures.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
  • Assist with the validation and implementation of new analytical methods.
  • Monitor laboratory inventory, reagents, and supplies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive case information.
  • Provide expert witness testimony when required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Forensic Science, or a related scientific discipline.
  • 1-3 years of hands-on laboratory experience in a production or regulated laboratory.
  • Experience with DNA extraction and molecular laboratory techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
