Digital Media Management (DMM), a Keywords Studios company, is a leading full-service digital agency, content studio and incubator specializing in social-first, “always-entertaining” marketing. DMM works with movie studios, television networks, streaming services and consumer brands to create groundbreaking social media campaigns via fan activations, innovative content creation, results-driven paid media planning, and strategic influencer-brand partnerships.

We are seeking a Director, Social Analytics to lead our small but growing Analytics team. The Director, Social Analytics will work across our service lines to build a consistent, researched framework for measuring success for our clients. Our ideal candidate will pair a passion and curiosity for social media with a deep understanding of data-driven storytelling to mentor and guide a team of Social Media Analysts in building impactful, strategic recommendations and reports.

Successful candidates must have 7-10 years of experience in the social analytics space with an in-depth understanding of organic and paid social media, preferably within an agency environment.

Your Impact
  • Formulate and establish a strong data and reporting POV that DMM will use to measure success across social media campaigns

  • Act as the resident expert on social media platform data and the impact or implications of various metrics as they pertain to performance.

  • Lead the development of reporting infrastructure and dashboards to monitor key KPIs

  • Develop and present priority reports and presentations with client stakeholders, transforming data into compelling stories with clear, actionable insights.  

  • Work with clients to establish key campaign benchmarks and KPIs

  • Evaluate and recommend additional analytics and consumer research tools, manage relationships with vendors, and lead internal trainings on new tools

  • Explore, vet and implement AI solutions into reporting services where relevant to scale 

  • Manage and mentor a team of social analysts with a focus on growth, learning, and development

  • Guide a team of social analysts in their development of reports, ensuring quality and accuracy

  • Partner with the strategy team to provide insights used to inform social audits, playbooks, and new business pitches

  • Partner with Creative, Partnerships and Platform teams to align on methods for measuring success across service lines and provide ways of combining service metrics into a single story for clients

Your Experience
  • 7-10 years of experience in social analytics, ideally with entertainment, gaming or brand clients

  • Expert knowledge of how paid, earned, and owned channels work together

  • Proven ability to tell impactful strategic stories informed by social metrics and other available data

  • Proven approach to data modeling using social media metrics to build benchmarks and measure ROI for clients

  • Experience using Data Visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Data Studio, etc.

  • Able to synthesize complex data and findings into clear and concise insights 

  • Client-facing experience with a track record of building trusted client relationships

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders

  • Proficient in document and deck presentation building using Google Suite and other tools

  • Proficient in social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Discord, Reddit) and reporting tools (Sprinklr, Sprout, Rival IQ, etc) 

  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Your Availability
  • M-F: 9am- 5pm PST
  • Must be located in the greater Los Angeles area 
The salary range for this role is $135,000 - $150,000 per year and is based on experience, responsibilities of the position, subject matter expertise and is location specific.
