Job description

Fortis Native Group is interviewing for a Day Porter for our contract located in Sacramento, California, 95652. This position reports to the Project Manager and is fully onsite and the hours are:

Monday: 5 p.m.- 1:30 a.m.
Tuesday: 5 p.m.- 1:30 a.m.
Wednesday: 3 p.m.- 11:30 p.m.
Thursday: 5 p.m. - 1:30 a.m.
Friday: 5 p.m. - 1:30 a.m.

JOB DUTIES

  • Daily reporting to Site Leadership and willingness to perform specific assigned duties.
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain bathrooms using approved procedures and products.
  • Dust, polish, and wipe furniture, shelves, desk, etc. as applicable.
  • Empty and wipe clean garbage bins, follow recycling procedures when necessary.
  • Assist with facility set-up for meetings, events, or classrooms when requested.
  • Periodic services such as stripping/waxing, floor burnishing, and carpet cleaning.
  • Maintain building security when entering or exiting facility.
  • Disinfect and sanitize work areas for customer use by utilizing approved chemicals and cleaning methods in accordance with Statement of Work.
  • Job Duties can change as directed by hiring manager.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of applicable experience
  • Must have and maintain an active Top Secret clearance
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including part-time hours
  • Must pass a stringent Federal Background Check
  • Must be able to perform task such as moving, carrying, and storing items
  • Must be able to walk, stand, kneel, reach, etc. as required for cleaning
  • Must be able to comprehend and follow instructions
  • Must be able to work with a team

  • Must be reliable and willing to perform assigned daily tasks
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

The ability to follow directions is vital to this position; the chosen applicant must be able to comprehend the requirements of the position and to collaborate either with co-workers or the Leadership Team when necessary.

The Floor Technician's job is physically demanding due to the need to move, carry and store various items and clean, dust, and wipe rooms full of furniture as well as floors and carpets. The successful application must have the physical capacity to perform these types of tasks.

Rate of Pay

RATE OF PAY Plus…

Health and Welfare - $5.09 an hour up to 40 hours a week. (These monies are used to pay for your benefits, anything leftover goes to your paycheck!)
