About the role

The Divisional President / Chief Credit Officer oversees the Midwest Division of First Savings Bank (South Dakota and Nebraska). This role is responsible for establishing sales and revenue growth initiatives and holds bank management accountable for results. The Divisional President acts as a leader to branch management and develops staff to ensure loan and deposit goals are met and customer satisfaction is achieved.

Preferred location is Sioux Falls, SD.

What you will do

  • Provides strategic leadership and supervision to branch leadership, promoting growth and development of staff.
  • Implements sales and revenue growth strategies and holds branch management accountable to loan and deposit growth goals.
  • Ensures operational best practices are followed and are compliant with all federal and state regulations.
  • Acts as a member of executive management and participates in strategic plannings meetings, including defining budget and goals for their assigned region.
  • Oversees and reviews all loan activities. Ensures loans and loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures the Bank maintain quality credit by way of proper credit risk assessment, loan documentation, and loan management.
  • Provides leadership in business development efforts by establishing objectives, providing coaching and rewarding results.
  • Participates on the bank’s loan committee, and approves loans within designated loan authority.
  • Represents the Bank through community involvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or related field required.
  • 10+ years of banking experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Proven sales management experience with a history of achieving results.
