This Position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to bring new business opportunities and improve the existing ones by supporting the Sales organization with relevant knowledge of products and markets. Each day, you will support the defined Sales organization and customers throughout the sales process in your assigned area. You will also showcase your proficiency by participating in sales strategy discussions for the assigned area, agreements on short-term and long-term goals, and negotiation of the division sales budget.
The work model for the role is: #LI - Onsite, Hybrid.
This role plays a critical part in facilitating ABB's business growth and supporting various divisions across India, covering multiple locations and clusters. We are seeking highly motivated and innovative professionals for positions such as Sales Specialist, Sales Manager, Area Sales Manager, Marketing & Sales Manager, Account Manager, and Technical Sales Specialist. This is a valuable opportunity to become part of our talent pool and be considered for upcoming roles across diverse regions and customer sites.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Creating the division sales plans for the area, in coordination with the Sales organization and teams.

  • Analysing the customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and the information provided by the Sales organization.

  • Ensuring efficient marketing actions (e.g., product launches) and communications to the Sales organization and customers, communicating the value proposition of the products, systems, services, and packages provided by the company.

  • Supporting the Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions, as well as in the preparation of competitive/strategic offers.

Qualifications for the role

  • Front-end sales for products such as:

    • Substation automation

    • PLC / DCS/ SCADA

    • Analytical products

    • Instrumentation (flow, level, transmitter, pressure)

    • Excitation systems

    • AVR panels

    • HT Motors

    • Electric Motors

    • VFDs and drives

    • Large system drives

    • LV switchgear (MCC, PCC, MCB, MCCB, PSS)

    • MV switchgear (AIS/GIS)

    • Building automation systems

    • Residential, distribution, and control products

  • 2 to 15 years of experience in Front end sales in process automation, electrification and motion products for all industries.

  • Highly adept at understanding customer specifications/requirements and applicable IEC or ISA standards.

  • Skilled in interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

  • Diploma or engineering degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Electronics & Communication.

  • Proficient in verbal and written communication in English.

  • Flexibility and willingness to travel globally based on project needs.
