Division Manager / General Manager – Civil / Utilities / Infrastructure

Charlotte, NC

$180,000 + Exceptional Bonus + Company Vehicle + Benefits

We're exclusively partnered with a growing civil infrastructure contractor seeking a personable, energetic and seasoned field leader to take responsibility for an established Charlotte operation of 65+ employees.


This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands civil construction, grading and field operations, but can also operate at a higher level across people, projects, clients and commercial performance.


Reporting directly to executive leadership, you'll lead Project Managers, Superintendents and field teams while helping drive the continued growth and development of the division.


As Division Manager / General Manager you will:

  • Lead multiple civil, utility and infrastructure projects simultaneously
  • Oversee grading, trenching, dry utility and underground infrastructure operations
  • Drive accountability, safety, quality and operational discipline across field teams
  • Coach and develop Superintendents, Project Managers and future leaders
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, budgets and overall project performance
  • Work closely with estimating/preconstruction, including budgets, takeoffs and Bluebeam Revu
  • Build strong relationships with clients, GCs and trade partners
  • Help scale the division while maintaining a strong, team-first culture


What we're looking for:

  • 15+ years of progressive construction experience
  • Strong grading, civil and field operations experience
  • Background in electrical/telecommunications pathways, dry utilities, trenching or underground infrastructure highly desirable
  • Experience with budgeting, takeoffs and estimating, ideally including Bluebeam Revu
  • Proven leadership as a General Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, Division Manager or similar
  • A personable, energetic and highly engaging leader who can motivate field and project teams
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation and commercial awareness
  • A collaborative, humble leadership style with the ability to coach while holding people accountable


Candidates from civil, utilities and infrastructure contractors are particularly encouraged, although relevant industrial, mission-critical and aviation backgrounds will also be considered.
