Job description

PWS Title:ย ย  Dive Maintenance Tech/ 3 M Supply/Maintenance Managerย 

Clearance Type:ย ย  Secretย 

  • Responsibilities (including but not limited to):ย 
  • Conducts preventative and corrective maintenance as mandated by OPNAVย Instruction 4790 scheduled in 3M for all open circuit items including SCUBAย tanks, regulators, air compressors, Haskel oxygen charging booster pumps andย kits, diagnostic test equipment and tools, buoyancy compensators, surfaceย swim life preservers, depth gauges, pressure gauges, underwaterย communications equipment, full face diving masks, diving Life Supportย System (DLSS) associated equipment and NAVSEA Certified Life Supportย Systems.
  • Must be available to travel in CONUS to conduct maintenance andย Inventories.ย ย 
  • Schedules maintenance within the Preventative Maintenance System (PMS)ย computer program and document maintenance when completed.ย 
  • Inventories repair, maintenance supplies, and parts. Identify requirements forย recommended procurement.ย 
  • Conducts spot-inventories of diving equipment. Must be available to travel toย conduct spot-inventories of diving equipment utilized at remote trainingย sites.ย 
  • Assists with customer service, issue, and receipt of diving equipmentย 
  • Navy Dive School Certified ((NEC 5342 (MDV1 or higher)).ย 
  • Minimum five yearsโ€™ experience as a certified 5342/MDV1ย diver.ย 
  • Qualification as a Material Maintenance Management (3M)ย Maintenance Man, 3M Quality Assurance Craftsman and 3Mย Work Center Supervisor.ย 
  • Qualified in accordance with NAVEDTRA 43910-(Series).ย 
  • Possess factory-trained certification for diving equipment withinย inventory, DLSS Re-Entry Control (REC) Supervisor, oxygenย clean system worker, and MK 25 UBA maintenance technician.ย 
  • Minimum of Three (3) years NSW experience.ย
