Job Description:

Saab, Inc. is looking for a Capture Manager in our Surveillance Systems Division. This individual will be responsible for identifying, developing, and capturing strategic business opportunities across our airborne business portfolio.

This individual will work closely with customers, the program management office, business development, engineering, and executive leadership to develop winning strategies for major pursuits and position Saab, Inc. for long-term growth.

The Capture Manager will serve as a trusted partner to customers and stakeholders while helping expand the company’s presence across airborne surveillance, radar, mission systems, electronic warfare, sensors, and other related airborne defense capabilities.

This hybrid position is located at our East Syracuse, NY, office.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead capture strategy and execution for strategic airborne business opportunities within the U.S.

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities, driving growth across assigned accounts and programs.

  • Build and maintain relationships with military, government, industry, and contractor stakeholders.

  • Develop winning capture plans, including customer engagement strategies and customer engagement strategies.

  • Partner with engineering, product management, contracts, and program teams to align solutions with customer requirements and mission needs.

  • Support proposal development, negotiations, and contract award activities for major pursuits.

  • Monitor market trends, acquisition activities, and competitor positioning to inform growth strategies.

  • Achieve portfolio growth objectives, including bookings, revenue, and pipeline targets.

Compensation:

  • Syracuse, NY: $165,700 - $223,800

  • Washington, DC: $199,00 - $268,600

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in defense, aerospace, business development, capture management, or similar customer-facing roles.

  • Airborne Early Warning (AEW) experience.

  • Familiarity with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV).

  • Demonstrated success leading captures for defense and government opportunities.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience supporting airborne mission systems, ISR platforms, radar systems, sensors, electronic warfare systems, aircraft integration, or related technologies.

  • Strong understanding of U.S. defense acquisition processes and procurement practices.

  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance or be eligible to obtain and maintain one.

Citizenship Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
