As the Assistant General Manager, you will support the General Manager in leading daily hotel operations, developing team members, driving guest satisfaction, and ensuring overall operational success. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing all hotel operations, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage, and Sales.
  • Ensure exceptional guest service and resolve guest concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support department leaders through coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Monitor labor, expenses, and operational performance to achieve property goals.
  • Help drive success in guest satisfaction, employee engagement, sales growth, property appearance, and financial performance.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty and assume General Manager responsibilities when needed.
  • Support hotel operations wherever necessary and perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Proven leadership abilities with a strong work ethic and self-motivated attitude.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to effectively lead, motivate, and collaborate with team members at all levels.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Experience working with hotel property management systems (PMS).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous hotel management or supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of the Deadwood/Black Hills hospitality and tourism market.
  • Experience with corporate, group, and leisure travel segments.
  • Marriott brand experience is a plus.
Physical & Schedule Requirements
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
  • Ability to move throughout the property and assist in operational areas when necessary.
