SUMMARY
The Data Analyst Specialist partners with district leadership to analyze quantitative and qualitative student data in order to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that enhance student achievement and support systems.
This role develops visualizations, conducts longitudinal and subgroup analyses, evaluates the effectiveness of interventions, and provides strategic recommendations to improve district-wide student outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience analyzing complex datasets and identifying actionable insights.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and validation.
- Experience using Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
- Strong understanding of data interpretation and trend analysis.
- Experience working within a Student Information System (Infinite Campus preferred).
- Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze student achievement, attendance, behavior, and assessment data to identify trends and performance patterns.
- Conduct subgroup and equity-focused analyses to support district improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with the Director of MTSS to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and identify opportunities to strengthen tiered supports.
- Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards and visualizations for principals, cabinet, and district leadership.
- Conduct longitudinal data analysis to monitor growth and program impact over time.
- Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable summaries and recommendations.
- Support data-informed decision-making processes at both district and building levels.
- Collaborate with the Program Systems Manager to ensure data accuracy and integrity within warehouse-supported dashboards.
- Assist with validation of assessment data and interpretation of results.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Stay current with trends in educational data analytics and student support research.
SKILLS TO SUPPORT THESE RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent
- Strong written communication skills for administrative summaries.
WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Work is typically performed in an office setting with occasional extended periods of time sitting and/or standing at a computer terminal.
- Ability to accept work interruptions in a considerate, helpful manner.
- Occasionally, program necessity requires working hours beyond set hours and days.
- Communication may not always be cooperative in nature and requires tact and discretion.

SALARY & BENEFITS
- $75,000 - $90,000 per year
- 12-month position - 260 days per year
- 22 days paid vacation
