Job description

School District 27J is seeking certified substitute teachers to provide quality classroom instruction to students at all grade levels throughout the District for the 2026-2027 school year.
Duties and Responsibilities: 

  1. Substitute teachers must be flexible in regards to where and how often they work.
  2. Substitute teachers must be able to accept jobs with very little notice.
  3. Substitute teachers must continue a high quality learning environment in their classroom.

Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid Substitute or Teacher License from the Colorado Department of Education (CDE). Licenses may include one-year, three-year or five-year substitute licenses and initial or professional teaching licenses.
  • Upload a copy of your license under the "Supplemental Materials" section.

Experience:

  1. Experience working with students in a classroom setting is preferred, but not required.
  2. Successful substitute teachers must have a passion for teaching, and have a desire to work with a diverse group of children.
