Job description

SUMMARY

The Distributor Sales Representative is responsible for securing and growing commercial alcohol accounts, with a primary focus on restaurants, bars, hotels, and other on-premise establishments.  This role is also responsible for prospecting new customers, building long-term partnerships, and increasing product placement and sales volume within an assigned territory.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  •        Prospect, secure, and grow hospitality accounts (restaurants, bars, lounges, hotels, and event venues) to expand distribution, increase revenue, and build long-term customer relationships.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with owners, managers, beverage directors, and purchasing decision-makers to influence buying decisions and secure ongoing business.
  • Present and sell spirits, wine, and beer portfolios by clearly communicating pricing, product value, and brand positioning to drive profitable purchasing decisions.
  • Negotiate pricing, incentives, and purchasing agreements in compliance with provincial and company regulations to secure sustainable and compliant sales growth.
  • Manage the full sales cycle and pipeline from prospecting through close to consistently achieve territory sales objectives.
  • Execute in-person sales visits, tastings, demonstrations, and staff trainings to increase product knowledge, brand advocacy, and sell-through at the account level.
  • Secure product placements, menu listings, and by-the-glass features to expand visibility, volume, and share within hospitality accounts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with inventory, operations, and marketing teams to ensure accurate fulfillment, effective promotions, and strong ongoing account support.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to adapt sales strategies and maintain a competitive advantage within the territory.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and call reports to support data-driven decision-making and sales performance tracking.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales and distribution targets to support company growth and supplier objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills
  •         Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities independently.

Required Experience
  •       Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within alcohol distribution, beverage sales, or hospitality.
  • Strong understanding of the restaurant and hospitality market.
  • Comfortable with in-person selling and local travel.
