Job description

Boisset Collection is seeking an experienced Agave Spirits Specialist to represent and grow our spirits portfolio throughout the Southern California market. This position is based in the Greater Los Angeles area. This is a market-facing role for someone who understands how to build and grow luxury spirits brands. The ideal candidate combines strong sales instincts, deep knowledge of tequila and agave spirits, meaningful relationships within the Southern California hospitality community, and the ability to communicate provenance, craftsmanship, and brand stories with credibility.
This role will serve as a key ambassador for our spirits portfolio across one of the countryโ€™s most important luxury spirits markets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and grow our spirits portfolio within targeted on-premise and off-premise accounts throughout Southern California.
  • Build relationships with leading bartenders, beverage directors, sommeliers, buyers, retailers, hotel teams, and hospitality groups.
  • Identify and secure high-value placements aligned with our luxury positioning.
  • Conduct staff trainings, tastings, educational seminars, trade presentations, and consumer experiences.
  • Educate the trade on tequila, agave, production methods, provenance, terroir, and the stories behind our brands.
  • Support distributor sales teams through market work, account calls, education, and targeted programming.
  • Develop relationships with influential members of the Southern California spirits and hospitality community.
  • Execute brand activations, dinners, events, partnerships, and other market-building initiatives.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with accounts to support placements, menu features, reorders, and long-term brand development.
  • Provide regular market intelligence, including competitive activity, account opportunities, emerging trends, and distributor feedback.
  • Represent Boisset Collection and its spirits portfolio professionally and authentically at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 5 years of spirits sales experience, preferably within premium, luxury, or craft spirits.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully selling and developing luxury brands.
  • Strong knowledge of tequila and the broader agave spirits category.
  • Existing relationships within the Southern California on-premise and/or luxury retail community strongly preferred.
  • Must reside within the Greater Los Angeles area and possess a strong working knowledge of the Southern California market.
  • English/Spanish bilingual strongly preferred.
  • Strong presentation, education, storytelling, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing a geographically diverse account base.
  • Experience working alongside distributors and distributor sales teams.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout Southern California.
  • Ability to work evenings and occasional weekends for account activations, events, and trade programming.
  • Ability to travel periodically outside the territory for company meetings, education, and brand-related activities.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and reliable transportation required.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • You are equally comfortable discussing agave provenance with a beverage director, presenting to a distributor sales team, conducting an intimate luxury tasting, and working alongside a sales representative to close an important account.
  • You understand the difference between simply getting a bottle onto a back bar and building a brand that belongs there.
  • You are curious about agave, Mexican culture, hospitality, luxury, and the people who shape the Southern California drinks community. Most importantly, you know how to turn education, relationships, and authentic brand storytelling into sustainable sales.
