Job description

The PDC Manager is the senior site leader accountable for customer service excellence, last-mile delivery performance, labor relations, and long-range site strategy, leveraging embedded and emerging automated technologies within the Parts Distribution Center (PDC).
Business Acumen & Engineering Leadership Responsibilities:
• Manage the PDC as a profit-impacting node within a broader distribution network
• Apply industrial engineering principles (capacity modeling, flow optimization, labor standards, layout strategy)
• Evaluate service-to-cost tradeoffs, ROI, payback, and risk for capital and technology investments
• Communicate complex operational and engineering concepts at the executive level
Key Responsibilities:
• Customer service ownership and senior dealer escalation leadership
• Last-mile delivery and carrier performance accountability
• Labor relations leadership, grievance handling, and negotiations
• Strategic planning, financial stewardship, and people leadership
• AI-enabled decision leadership, analytics governance, and technology adoption oversight
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Labor, Communications, Business, Marketing, or other related field of study
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in managerial/supervisory in a distribution warehouse environment
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement systems and Lean Manufacturing
  • Experience managing day-to-day operations in a union environment
  • Proven ability to develop and execute a detailed project plan
  • Ability to develop analyses to improve current standard processes and seek solutions to improve performance
  • Willingness to work extended weekday hours and weekends across day/evening shifts, as required
  • Willingness to relocate

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree Supply Chain Management or Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Labor, Communications, Business, Marketing, or other related field of study
  • Proven ability to develop and execute a detailed project plan
  • Ability to develop analyses to improve current standard processes and seek solutions to improve performance
  • Ability to manage and identify urgent customer and plant KPI's
