Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Water Operator to manage the day-to-day operations in the Midland-Odessa, Texas area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating water treatment and distribution activities to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of water services to our customers.
Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise the operation of water treatment facilities and distribution systems in accordance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Monitor water quality parameters and conduct regular testing to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs of equipment and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies and participate in inspections and audits to maintain compliance with industry regulations.
- Respond to emergencies and troubleshoot issues to minimize service interruptions and ensure continuous water supply.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to water operations, including production data, maintenance logs, and regulatory documentation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in water treatment operations is preferred.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in water treatment and distribution operations.
- Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, equipment, and systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications for data management and reporting.
- Valid Class C Water Operator License would be preferred and Class D would be acceptable if a Class C was obtainable within a year.
