The Distribution Center Delivery Driver / Distribution Center Specialist position is responsible for making local deliveries and interacting with customers/vendors in a way that demonstrates AWC's culture. The position will also be responsible in assisting with the overall organization of the warehouse facility in terms of shipping/receiving and inventory handling. This position involves handling shipping and receiving, order fulfillment, stock management, and forklift operations to support our customers and sales teams. Success in this role means maintaining organization, accuracy, and a commitment to safety and customer service.

How You'll Make an Impact:
  • Unload incoming shipments from motor freight, UPS, and other carriers.
  • Handle stock put-away and slotting locations for optimal organization and accessibility.
  • Pick, pack, and process shipments, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Print delivery tickets, pull materials, and verify purchase order details after shipment.
  • Create Bills of Lading and arrange for motor freight pickups and load shipments.
  • Coordinate and document customer "Will Call" pickups.
  • Maintain accurate warehouse stock records and perform regular housekeeping duties.
  • Participate in mandatory quarterly inventory counts.
  • Receive and verify purchase orders while confirming sales orders in our homegrown system, “.Net”.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support efficient warehouse operations.
Skills You Need:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comparing details from requisition or invoices to shipments received
  • Complete requisitions, inventory or invoices and other documentation related to the delivery or shipment
  • Maintain current and incoming inventory accuracy to exceed customer expectations
  • Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, stand, stoop, kneel, squat, and reach as needed
  • Capability to move and/or lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Candidates must be able to pass a drug test, physical, and/or MVR check, as applicable for the role
