Step Into a Day in Our Indianapolis Fulfillment Center

Picture this: you start your shift in our Indianapolis, IN facility, power up a forklift, and help guide beautiful, well-crafted furniture on its journey from our warehouse to a family’s living room. As a Furniture Distribution Operations Specialist at Ashley, you’ll become a go-to pro for safe handling, staging, and preparing merchandise so every customer experience feels exceptional.

What Your Day Looks Like
  • Receive, move, store, assemble, and prepare furniture and home accents with care and precision.
  • Operate forklifts, lifts, pallet jacks, and dollies while following all safety procedures.
  • Inspect, prepare, and maintain merchandise so it meets Ashley quality standards before pickup or delivery.
  • Load, unload, organize, and stage goods to keep operations efficient and inventory accurate.
  • Support product readiness with minor repairs, touch-ups, and repackaging.
  • Track items and support inventory controls, including cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Create positive customer moments—in our warehouse and occasionally in customers’ homes—as a trusted Ashley representative.
  • Keep the workspace clean, organized, and safe, and complete required documentation on time.

What You Bring
  • Physical capability: Comfortable lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 100 lbs. safely (with assistance for heavier items) and staying active throughout the day.
  • Hands-on aptitude: Experience in warehouse/distribution, retail, furniture handling, inventory, assembly, material handling, or powered equipment is a plus—but we’ll train the right person.
